Children’s Activities

Registration & Safety

All activities are free of charge; however, children must be registered with us for health and safety reasons.

Registration forms are available online through our Links Portal.

Alternatively, registration forms may be collected directly from club.

Open Access Play Scheme (Term Time)

Our open-access play scheme is available for children in Year One and above, running Monday to Friday, 3:15pm – 5:45pm.

Parents cannot stay during play scheme hours unless permission is granted by management (e.g., settling-in for children with disabilities).

Holiday Play Schemes

Our holiday play schemes are mainly funded through the HAF Programme, and all children within our age limit are welcome to attend.

Child Volunteers

We offer opportunities for children to participate as volunteers, helping build confidence and skills.

Off-Site Activities

Off-site sessions run in 10 week blocks, are age appropriate, and serve as additional activities, not replacements for the play scheme.

Places are for those who have signed up.

Trips & Excursions

Trip places are allocated to children currently attending and are given out at random times to ensure fairness, as spaces are limited.

Parents do not attend unless invited to support children with disabilities.

Structured Activities

Occasionally, structured sessions are delivered during play scheme hours. Children will have the opportunity to take part when these occur.

Behaviour Expectations

All children must follow SCCYP’s Behaviour Policy and Ground Rules.

These can be found in our Links Portal.

Adult Activities

All adults are welcome to join our activities, training sessions, and trips.

Some projects may be designed specifically for adults aged 50+, such as our annual Christmas meal.

“Eat to Greet” Community Meal

Every Thursday, 12:00 – 1:00pm, we host our weekly Eat to Greet session.

The community is invited to enjoy a free meal and a friendly ear in a welcoming space.

Community Opportunities

Intergenerational Activities

Throughout the year we run several intergenerational bingo sessions, often including a buffet.

Seasonal Events

We hold community celebrations such as Christmas parties and Halloween events.

Children over 8 may attend without an adult; children under 8 require adult supervision.
